Footnote 38
From the latin word Grigori, defined as the watchers or the nephilim in traditional mythology. Eliphas Lévi, in Le Grand Arcane (“The Great Mystery”, 1868) identifies “egregors” (sic) with the tradition concerning the fathers of the nephilim, describing them as “terrible beings” that “crush us without pity because they are unaware of our existence.”
Modern definition of egregore (or egregor) being an embodiment of a convergence of forces that exhibit memory, intentionality, and cognition, capable of retaining and spreading memes. Refer back to Chapter 1 for a more in-depth definition.

How is egregore usually pronounced in English? EGG-regg-gor? Thanks. –Tesla

same way you pronounce tomato ..
i’ve heard it a few ways, I’m always partial to the Egg reggor – especially since I’m pretty sure it tracks back to grigori linguistically
